A DOT Medical Exam is a requirement for commercial drivers, which must be renewed every two years or more frequently for some medical conditions. These exams are provided for patients as well as the general public. This exam may be requested to ensure new hires are physically capable of performing their work and meet general health standards. DOT Medical examinations may include a vision and hearing test, a blood test, and a urinalysis. This is to ensure that the individual is fit to do the job.
White River Family Care provides these examinations for established patients at our practice, as well as for any commercial drivers. This medical exam is to ensure drivers are medically fit to perform their job. Medical examiners must be certified to do DOT exams. Dr. Michael Welsh and Jeff Boulet PAC are certified DOT medical examiners. We strive to be as accommodating as possible for the work schedules of our drivers.
